In 1998, owners Brad Goebel and Steve Wallem founded MV Breakers (formerly known as MV Liquidators) in a friend's garage in Mission Viejo, CA. Brad and Steve traveled around the country buying new circuit breaker inventory from contracting firms in order to provide their customer base with the lowest prices possible. As Brad and Steve’s relationships with these contracting firms grew, so did MV Breakers inventory.

In 2005, MV Breakers opened the doors to their first retail operation located at 23881 Via Fabricante in Mission Viejo, CA, with the goal of becoming Orange County’s premier circuit breaker destination.
